On the first day of winter, something special unfolded under the open sky — the Picnic of Wellbeing, co-hosted by our Women’s and Men’s Wellbeing communities.
After days of rain, the sun made a gentle return, as if blessing our gathering. The Grey Gum Picnic Area space welcomed us with warmth, and so did each person who arrived. The tables were set, tea and coffee boiled.
In the beginning, we arrived with trust rather than structure — and from that trust, the day found its own beautiful rhythm. While the schedule unfolded in its own way, the beauty was in how we moved with it — as a community ready to connect, ready to share. Naturally, we found our way.
We all agree that a truly special moment was the arrival of Caitlin, our Women’s Wellbeing Association president — not just joining the picnic but celebrating a very special moment of her life with us – her 60s birthday with us. We welcomed her with cake, song, and a loving ceremony that wrapped her in celebration.
Caitlin — what a radiant woman — glowing with the grace of your years and the warmth of your presence. The sunshine may have blessed us from above, but it was your inner light that truly lit up the day. You are amazing, and as a community, we wish you deep joy, alignment, and unfolding magic in this next cycle around the sun.
May all your wishes come true!
In that spirit of togetherness, we found our way into smaller sharing circles — three tribes within one big one. What followed were deep, moving conversations. From laughter to tears, from silence to storytelling, we made space for it all.
People of all ages and all walks of life — men and women – young and elders — every person was welcome. Every emotion had a place. What we created today wasn’t just an event. It was a feeling. A reminder of what happens when people come together with open hearts. And all around, there was a feeling that something meaningful is happening.
In between these beautiful moments, we shared food — home-cooked dishes, fresh barbecue, international specialities and local favourites. Children played wild and free, soaking up the joy and mud around them. While the afternoon wrapped up, we all felt it — the sense of belonging, the spark of togetherness, the wish to do it again.

To those who came — thank you for your presence. You made the day what it was. We welcome your feedback, especially as we keep learning how to hold space better, with more flow and ease.
We missed those who couldn’t join us and hope they’ll be next time. And to everyone else, we hope to see you at the next one. There will be more. Maybe better organised, maybe a little smoother, but always rooted in love, openness, and the magic of community.
With warmth,
The Women's Wellbeing Team
