about
Zoe Vilenica

Dr. Zoe Vilenica is a Psychologist, and trauma specialist with over 20 years of experience supporting women healing from complex trauma. Her work focuses on how our stories, nervous systems, and movement patterns are shaped by survival — and how we can transform them. Zoe creates compassionate, body-based programs that help women move through patterns like hyperindependence and return to themselves with kindness. Grounded in posttraumatic growth, her approach empowers lasting change through nervous system regulation, self-understanding, and deeper connection.
"Healing and growth unfold through the struggle to understand all the ways trauma has changed us, leading to new perspectives and acceptance of ourselves and our story. Healing is also the discovery of a place of stillness, peace and regulation within - and for the many of us who live with hypervigilance, often for the very first time."

The EveryWoman Gathering Workshop
"I’ve Got It, Thanks": A Body-Based Dive into Hyperindependence
Hyper independence
A survival superpower where one insists on doing literally everything alone - whether it’s moving house, processing emotions, or carrying the emotional weight of five generations - in case needing someone turns into a liability. Side effects may include: burnout, resentment, mysterious back pain, and the inability to accept help without breaking into a cold sweat. Join me for an interactive workshop where we will take an insightful look at how hyperindependence shows up in our lives as women - how it has served us, shaped us, and where it comes from. Through experiential practices, paired somatic exercises and guided reflection, we’ll trace the origins of our self-reliance and honour the nervous system patterns it creates. And then we’ll explore how it might feel to unfurl our wings in a conscious movement toward connection, trust and congruence.
